Running back and forth to the gas station to fill up car and bike tires, lawnmower wheels, boat trailers, and all those things that tend to go flat in the off season can get, well, tiresome. Cut out the back and forth with Black & Decker's air station inflator. This handy unit plugs into any 120 volt outlet in the shop, or garage to quickly and conveniently pump up sports balls, tires, air mattresses and more. It also plugs into auto cigarette lighters and doesn't take up much space in the car, boat, or camper for inflating sleeping pads and tires. The inflator easily inflates tires up to 200 psi. And, there's no more guessing when the tire is filled to capacity. The inflator is equipped with Black & Decker's EZ air dial that automatically shuts off once you've hit the desired psi. Convenient on-board cord, needle, and hose storage keeps all the goods in one place so that you don't have to hunt down the needle to take care of that hard-to-bounce basketball. --Brian D. Olson

1Disappointed  Aug 14, 2008
I just used my new B&D As1300 Air Station for the 1st time and was greatly disappointed. I had a older model that worked much better and faster and had longer power and inflation cords. When using the inflator, the storage compartment door must be left open which makes turning the air station on and off very awkward. The only part that broke on my old air station was the plastic valve stem attachment which I could not replace. If I had bought this new air station from a local retailer I would return it for a refund.

Really like this air inflator. Auto shut off is great & ability to use in car is handy!! Lite weight & less noise than other inflators.

5Nice multipurpose inflator  Aug 01, 2008
This air pump is a good value. I got it for $40 and it tops off all tires on 2 cars and 1 motorcycle within seconds and shuts itself off when pressure has been reached.

Very nice product. handy and versatile. Much quieter than my old air station. I would buy this product again.

5Everything I need in an air compressor  Jul 30, 2008
I purchased this air compressor several weeks ago and am very pleased with it. Yes it is noisy (as some of the previous reviewers commented), but all small air compressors are. This compressor is actually a bit quieter than the one I had to replace (which was a different brand).

I especially like that the various nozzles store underneath the unit so I don't have to go hunting for them.

I agree with earlier comments about the dial gage being hard to read with any accuracy, but once I determined what needle position corresponded to 34 psi (the recommended pressure for my car) I found that I could use the dial gage very reliably for the rest of the tires. It's probably still a good idea to use a reliable tire gage, but if I'm in a hurry, the onboard dial gage will get me within +/- 1 psi.

In all it is a very capable unit and I'd buy it again without reservation.
