Granted, we’re tool junkies, but we don’t know anybody who can resist the lure of a little combo like this.

First, the EVO Jr. knife has a slick little 440 stainless steel blade coated with titanium nitride for superior corrosion resistance. The anodized aluminum handle has seven slanted oval openings in it, and we admit it gives it a lean, mean look, but even better, it cuts down on the knife’s weight. When folded, it fits beautifully in a pocket, perfect for hiking, fishing and a hunt in the woods. It flips open with one hand as smooth as ice and features a finger flip that also serves as a guard.

But the star of this pair is definitely the cool, keychainable Clutch multi-purpose tool. It’s a mere 2-1/2 inches closed, and there’s little evidence of what lies beneath. But slide it open, and you’ve got instant access to an amazingly strong needlenose mini-pliers, a knife blade, gritty file, nail cleaner, three screwdrivers (two flat, one Phillips), tweezers and a bottle opener, and the whole thing travels incognito on your keychain. It’s brilliant.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste

4Knife rocks, multitool is ok...  Feb 25, 2008
This combo is good, but not great. The knife is excellent... very sharp (typical Gerber), perfect size for carrying around in a pocket or leaving in a glove-box, and the one handed opening-closing makes it incredibly functional for those occasions when you don't want to put down or release tension on whatever needs cutting. The multi-tool is ok, it has a decent solid feel, but it's really too small for most of the things i might have used it for. It goes in the wife's glove compartment now, just in case.

5Great Mini-Tool  Feb 25, 2008
Perfect multi-use micro-tool for travel or office, quality evident throughout the sharp, precise, stainless steel tool sets. Much more substantial than others I have used in the past in terms of its heft, apparent durability, open/close recoil, and appearance - would reccomend to anyone. The EVO Jr. makes a perfect package/letter opener, the pocket clip adds to its versatility for roadtrips.

4small gerber package  Feb 21, 2008
both products are very good--only flaw is the lack of a lock on the utility tool knife blade. Service was also excellent.

5A very popular gift  Feb 17, 2008
This was a very popular birthday present. My friend's son (23) loves it and he uses it every day. This is the kind of gift you can't go wrong with as long as you give it to a young adult or adult that is.

3just ok  Jan 23, 2008
the quality is very good on this set, but the knife is a bit to small, i was happy with the size at first, but makes is hard to open with just one hand, the multitool is very thight, its hard to open the tools, it makes to a cute key chain thought. but i guess you cant beat the price.
