Good Specialty flashlight Mar 03, 2008
I got this flashlight to mount to the bottom of my sd video camcorder. I wanted something very small and lightweight, but that also had good versatility and brightness. This flashlight is EXTREMELY small, i was actually quick shocked when i saw it for the first time. It uses one battery and should last you about 2-3 months if you use it a bunch. The light is not super duper bright, i wouldn't carry it alone as a hiking light or if i was needing a really bright light, but for the size it is adequate. It has multiple color lenses and they all serve a purpose, white is for seeing the best, red is for covert operations or lighting without being seen, or ruining your nightvision. Green is for reading topographical maps at night, blue is for picking up blood or other fluid trails (works well for spotting leaks on vehicles at night)

This light is a great pocket light, very small, bright enough to do what it needs to do, and has a lot of features for the size. Great finish quality, and good weight (feels substantial). Like i said before, if you are looking for a super bright light, this isn't for you, i usually use a led headlamp when camping, or my Blue-point xenon cr123 powered mini light which produces about 1000 times more output for its size. This is a nice little light for what it is tho.

Great flashlight, versitile colour choices Jan 03, 2008
This little flashlight is not intended to be an all round product but is uniquely useful if a small white light will do and when one may also need to read coloured maps and/or charts while preserving night vision. For instance, red coutour lines might disappear under the red LED but all you have to do is to twist the wheel to obtain another colour such as blue or green- and if things get really confused you have the white light equally available for quick verification. It's sometimes said that, in a night-vision situation, blue is the most useful colour to use in finding blood stains- but hopefully that will never come up! As stated in other reviews, the clip provided will allow the flashlight to be clipped to a ball cap and used as a headlamp- I have yet to try that but I'm glad to hear it will work. I'm assuming that the battery life and reliability will be similar to my little Gerber Infinity flashlight, or in other words excellent since, colour wheel and LED brightness aside, they are quite similar in design. If that turns out to be so, I would award this little job 5 stars in the future.

Great Light To Preserve Night Vision Dec 01, 2007
I bought this flashlight to use at night on the bridge of a ship. It has turned out to be one of the best flashlights I have ever bought for that purpose. The battery life is excellent and it fits nicely in your pocket. For my purposes I do not want a very bright light and having the ability to switch between four different colors is a huge advantage at night when I may want a brighter or dimmer light. All in all it is a great light, I am bummed a little that the spring in the base has worn out, so I need to order another one. If you work in an environment where night vision is a priority, ie a cockpit, bridge of ship, etc, this is an excellent light.

Good for night reading Nov 24, 2007
This is one of the best lights I have found for reading at night. I can clip it to my hat and read a book while camping in a tent. The light is not very bright, but it does serve well for minor tasks. I am buying a second one so my son will leave mine at home.
