These knives introduce new thinking -- adding usefulness, saving space and providing excellent value. About the Leatherman h502 Folding Knife The streamlined design of a traditional lockback folder meets the functionality of a multitool, without additional bulk. With the h502 you'll find a quality 420 HC stainless steel blade and plenty of additional features -- a bit driver (with six screw bit tips), bottle opener and folding carabiner clip -- all neatly tucked into a comfortable handle with rubber inserts for maximum grip and portability. The integrated bit driver carries six screwdrivers in the space of two, and the bit driver comes with double-ended bits that quickly change to fit the demands of the day's work. Included are Phillips #1 and 2, plus 1/8, 3/16 and 1/4-inch width flathead, and #15 Torx. Additional accessory bits are available. The h502’s patent-pending carabiner clip stays hidden until you need it, nesting with other components to save space. Then, a simple thumb action is all it takes to hang your Leatherman knife on a backpack, rope or belt loop. It locks into place so attachment is easy and perfectly secure. As an added bonus, the carabiner is also designed to be the best bottle cap lifter you’ve ever carried, with a style that easily rotates or slides out with one hand. Key Technical Specs:

What would you expect of Leatherman Mar 16, 2008 Great knife and tool set but I expected it. Makes a great impressive business gift and a handy tool in that special draw in the kitchen. Very handy for many uses, would definitely recommend and very happy with purchase.
A great knife Feb 05, 2008 I love this knife. The first day I had it, I put it on my belt and haven't taken it off since. I have used every feature from the razor sharp blade to the carabiner/bottle opener. For the money, you will not find a better knife. It's all weather and all purpose.
Great little knife Nov 03, 2007 I carry this little asset around a warehouse everyday. It's great for opening and inspecting all types of containers from cardboard boxes to sealed crates. It's a sturdy little thing with many uses.

Outstanding Tool Mar 09, 2007 My Leatherman h502 is, for me, a perfect tool. I say "tool" because it is much more than just a knife. The bottle opener/carabiner works great attaching the tool to a belt loop. Removing a bottle top is a little tricky, but it works. I love the fact that I always have multiple screwdriver sizes at my disposal as part of the tool. And, of course, the knife blade is great. It is easy to open and locks open to prevent inadvertent closure. The stainless steel blade is really sharp and holds its edge well. Overall, a sturdy, well made, outstanding tool. The only improvement I can suggest is making the thumb knob so that it can be placed on either side of the blade. I'm left handed, so for me this feature is unusable.

Dare I say it: Improved Design over basic Swiss Army Feb 13, 2007 Here are the reasons: The blade is wider and locks for safety. The blade can be put into action quickly (one handed) unlike most swiss army. It is Johnny on the spot for cutting duties - no fumbling with two hands that would be a distraction to the task at hand. Grab it, open it, cut it and move on.
The screwdriver is on the same axis as the handle, is heavier duty and works like a normal screwdriver as opposed to perpindicular like the phillips head on a few swiss army knives I own. The bits are replaceable and changeable and has a ratcheting accessory that can be purchased separately. The bottle opener, though unorthodox in design works well. I've popped a many beers with it. It also functions as a carbiner and can be slide back into the knife for a sleeker unencumbered look and is out of the way when not in use. The can opener works well.
I wish they would have included a pocket clip just like its cousin the K502, you know the one with the better steel blade. I also wished the blade was longer than the 3.5 or so inches when openned.
This larger knife would compete well with the larger, basic swiss armies while the 300 series would do well with the smaller ones. It won't have the kitchen sink like the full featured Swiss knives but for common uses, it fits the bill better. I think leatheman should venture out to make one for specialty fishermen type tools and the like.
All in all, I'm very happy with it.
