What The Heck Were They Thinking?! Oct 21, 2008 I got one of these little gizmos as a "giveaway" in a stud finder package. I thought it might come in handy since it's very compact and easily transportable. Unfortunately, it was apparently designed by people who never use a laser level on a wall. Most reliable levels have ways to hold the level on the wall using suction or velcro. This one uses an adhesive disc. The assumption is that you know exactly where you plan to put the level on the wall, both in height and length. Well, if you're using an adhesive disc, you have only one shot to get the placement right. If you've mismeasured, then you have to peel the disc off and put on another. Not much of a problem if you have an unlimited supply of discs. However, this thing comes with six. If you are good enough to use only one per job, then you're out after only six placements. Have you tried to find replacement discs anywhere? I can't find them online (even here on Amazon where you and buy the device) and Zircon doesn't sell them from their website (although you can call their Customer Service and order more). No enclosed price list or order form. It makes you wonder if the discs will eventually cost more than this gizmo.
If you need a serious laser level that you can move without it costing you money, consider something like the Titan 15105 4-in-1 or the Strait-Line 6041101CD LL120 (Amazon sells these). These use suction which is much easier to move around for adjustments.
If you like the cute blue ball, I hope you don't have a lot of levelling to do.
Keep one around. Sep 22, 2008 This is really a nifty little product to have around in your toolbox, junk drawer, or anywhere else you keep such things. I couldn't be more simple to use, and can level anything. Buy one, and keep it handy.

Works for a year Jul 04, 2008 This is a great product for short term use. It works very well to hang pictures etc.
The problem I have with this product is that in about an year, liquid inside evaporated leaving a big bubble. Now it is pretty useless since the bubble inside is too big to align it well. I have given it two stars because I would expect a bit longer life for this product. It explains why the warranty is for only one year.

Can't Beat The Price Jun 19, 2008 I used this tool within minutes of receiving it. It works great, with the exception being the rotation ball isn't very stable. That just means you have to be careful not to touch the wall while hanging things. I bought a bunch for my friends.

Great Laser Leveler. Mar 01, 2008 This Laser ball is very easy to use, it will stick anywhere. Works in any direction even works upside down for those ceiling jobs. The only thing I do not like is the type of batteries it uses, but then again they do last a long time.
